Description

A hybrid solar PV system installed for the MTB Harare Office in Bluff hill. The system consists of 84 Jinko PV modules, each with a rated power of 460 Watts-peak to give a total of 38.64 kWp. The PV modules are mounted on aluminium structure that is mounted on the rooftop of the building facing the Northern direction for maximum energy yield. The PV modules were connected to 3 x 15 kVA Victron Quattro Inverters that are configured to give 3 Phase power output. The 3 pure sine wave inverters will give a total of 45 kVA 3 Phase AC power and are capable of charging lithium-ion batteries using mains power. A 134.4 kWh battery bank consisting of 28 x 4.8 kWh Vision Technology lithium-Ion Phosphate batteries is being proposed.
